Aubrae originally came to Maine Career Connect as a client, when her family relocated to Bangor, ME for her husband’s job. She remained involved well past the transition period as a supporter. In the fall of 2017, she approached MCC with an idea that eventually became the MCC Connections program. Her work on developing and implementing that program are what ultimately led to her being offered the role of director.
Aubrae has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Michigan State University and a degree in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America. Her 20+ years of work in the restaurant industry took her all over the country and gave her a unique opportunity to hone her skills at relocating and becoming established in new communities, which translate very well to the role she holds with Maine Career Connect.
She is active in the philanthropic community in Bangor, serving on the Board of Directors for Mabel Wadsworth Center, is a member of the Eastern Maine Medical Center Auxiliary and an ardent supporter of many local charities. She lives in Bangor’s Little City neighborhood with her husband, Joel and son, Henry.
