How We Help

Maine Career Connect is an organization designed to help newly relocated professionals and their families integrate into Maine communities.  Their services include innovative dual career and/or professional development support and community transition assistance.

These services include:

  • Pre-Hire Consult
    • Maine Career Connect meets with employer’s potential new hires.  This meeting provides candidates with an introduction into the community through a one-on-one conversation.
    • The candidate receives information and descriptions of communities, health care facilities, schools and rankings, as well as activities available in the community.
    • A customized approach is available offering candidates the opportunity to provide personal information regarding specific circumstances such as children’s resources, medical conditions, elder care challenges and other private concerns where specific resources may be required.
    • The one-on-one conversation with a Maine Career Connect representative can serve as a brainstorming session to help weigh pros and cons.  This also serves as an opportunity to mitigate any misinformation as well as ensure that help is available with transitioning if the offer is accepted.
